Solomon is a hard working, up and coming designer, student inspiring to get into the world of Furniture Design.Currently studying a BA at Kingston School Of Art (KSA).Every day he is developing his workshop skills and finding new ways to elevate his ability to create inspiring, interesting and captivating work.
He first found Product And Furniture Design In high school where he studied Design Technology taught by Designers: John Spiller and Danny Flynn. Who introduced him to creativity and shared their passion for wood working. The phrase that Solomon runs by is
"if you can see it, you can make it." All thanks to the help of his tutors. He went to complete and finish with a C in his DT A-Levels in 2019.After a break pursuing his Skating career he went back into Design in 2023.
As a Student he was privileged enough to work on a variety of projects and through Kingston University with companies such as; HEELS, PlyKea and Arcentara. Developing his experience with multiple materials, styles and techniques. During his time at the university he has also been able to effectively and creatively work with Interior Designers on project developing his collaboration work and real life ability to work in a real life business environment. To which he hopes to continue and develop collaborative work and also expand his knowledge of modern design.
Why Product & Furniture?
Product and Furniture I think is one of the most beautiful subjects one can learn and develop. As not only are you faced into the world of design that's very subjective and also has multiple applications of whats good or not. That trial and error development as a person only makes you grow and underwent your; voice, impact and style in the industry. In addition to be able to think of something then make the imagination of yours a physical reality is something not many have the opportunity to do.Product and Furniture do exactly that which is why I have fallen in love with it all. I want it, I make it.I believe it can be made, I make it. and go through the process and journey that comes with every project.
